The Rambo Optimo 0gr turnout is produced to suit larger horses that require more space in their rug. The Optimo's pivotneck, located behind the shoulder, ensures that your horse has enough space and movement to move freely without the blanket pushing or riding backwards/sideways. This fold is further enhanced by a V-front and leg cutouts that allow free gait and play while giving your horse full protection from the elements.
Rambo Turnouts consist of an outer material called Ballistic Nylon of 1000 Denier. Ballistic Nylon is one of the strongest materials used in horse rugs and textiles for its resistance to tearing, abrasion and waterproofing. Between the outer and inner material there is a micro-thin layer called aquatrans which is 100% waterproof and wicks steam and moisture away from the horse. This proprietary technology is only used by Horseware. The inside of the rug consists of a silky polyester that is manufactured with an anti-static and anti-bacterial treatment. This makes the duvet less static and inhibits bacterial growth.
The Ballistic Nylon of 1000D is more durable than for example Amigo Bravo of about 1200D. This is because Ballistic Nylon is a much stronger material than the Polyester used in Amigo, Rhino and Mio, for example, as well as many other duvet brands. Likewise with rain and storms; ballistic nylon is denser, stronger than polyester and therefore possesses a higher water resistance.
The rug has an ergonomic V-front closure that distributes and reduces pressure on the shoulder and gives the horse greater freedom of movement than the classic shoulder closure. The girths also have
safety surcingles that allow the strap to release on 100kg pressure if the horse should get stuck.
