Horseware is very well known for its horse blankets for their high quality and ergonomic fit.
Below we present the models available in the Horseware range. All models have an antistatic, antibacterial and gloss-enhancing nylon layer on the inside to reduce bacterial growth and, above all, reduce the risk of friction and chafing. The different models differ in terms of durability and fit to meet your horse's specific needs. Think about what you and your horse need, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need guidance!
Popular rugs with a 1000D polypropylene outer material and an extra, waterproof layer between the outer and inner material that keeps your horse dry even if there is a tear in the outer material. Rhino is 50% more durable than Amigo Bravo 12 (1200D) due to polypropylene being a stronger fabric. Rhino has a V-front buttoning (not Rhino Original) and is slightly narrower in the bow than Rambo and Amigo.

Amigo. Affordable rugs in a polyester outer material that is lighter, with a durable material and excellent waterproofness. Polyester is a very common material for horse rugs as it has a high performance at a good price. Unlike Rhino and Rambo, Amigo does not have the extra waterproof layer between the outer and inner material. Amigo is available in 600D (Hero 6) 900D (Ripstop 9) and 1200D (Bravo 12) and is slightly more spacious in the sizes. Ripstop is a new construction that integrates thicker threads into the fabric in a classic grid pattern that provides optimal resistance to large or small tears in the fabric.
What is denier?
Denier is a unit of measurement that informs about the thickness of individual threads used in the production of fabrics. The higher the denier number, the thicker and more durable a fabric will be. A lower denier count means that the fabric will be softer and therefore less durable.
When considering the strength of a duvet, the denier strength and material of the duvet should be kept in mind. For two duvets with the same material, the duvet with the highest denier count will have the highest quality. For example, a 1200D polyester duvet is twice as strong and durable as another 600D polyester duvet. In contrast, Ballistic Nylon and Polypropylene are two fundamentally stronger fabrics and are therefore of higher quality despite a lower denier count than amigo. For example, a Rambo duvet made of 1000D Ballistic Nylon is more durable than an Amigo Bravo made of 1200D Polyester.
