Outdoor blanket is a term for blankets that the horse has when it is out in the pasture. It is a fairly broad concept that can include both shell blankets and winter blankets. An outdoor blanket can be without filling or have several hundred grams of filling. Its task is to help the horse keep warm when an extra warming layer is needed. Horseware's outdoor blankets have a filling from 50 grams to 400 grams. In addition, you can build with liners to get the optimal thickness for your particular horse - depending on what your horse needs. It may go without saying that a quilt with more filling is warmer than a quilt with less filling.

If you trim your horse, it is extra important as you have removed the horse's natural protection against climate and terrible weather. If you choose a blanket where it says PLUS, it means that a removable neck is included in the package. If you instead choose a quilt called all-in-one, it includes a fixed neck on the quilt you buy, which can therefore not be removed. In addition, we sell loose necks for both indoor and outdoor blankets.
