Keratex hoof putty is a semi-permanent wax that seals and stabilizes the hoof crack and prevents dirt and mud from getting stuck in the hole and damaging the recovery process. The adhesive filling compound also disinfects making it a perfect aid for recovery after pressure, hoof abscesses, and cavities.
Can be used in the following ways:
Disinfect the hole and the surrounding area thoroughly. The hole is then plugged. Form the adhesive putty in clean hands and press it into the cavity until you have a tight plug for best results.
The putty will be hard when in the jar but will soften in your hands as you shape it.
