The Amigo Bravo 1200D FieldSafe Reflectech Plus Turnout 100gr from Horseware is a highly waterproof, durable, and breathable turnout blanket with an extra focus on visibility and safety in the pasture. The Reflectech design features reflective yarn woven into the outer fabric, allowing the blanket to reflect light over a significantly larger area and helping the horse be more visible during dark mornings, evenings, and other low-light conditions.
The blanket is made from a sturdy 1200D polyester outer fabric that is waterproof and highly breathable. The material helps keep the horse dry in rain and inclement weather while allowing moisture and excess heat to be wicked away from the body.
Between the outer fabric and the lining is 100 grams of Thermobonded fiberfill, which provides light thermal insulation and makes the blanket particularly useful on cool days and in changeable weather. The detachable neck piece also features 100 grams of filling for even protection over both the body and neck.
The interior consists of an antistatic, antibacterial, and shine-enhancing polyester lining. The smooth lining helps reduce friction against the coat, while the antibacterial properties help inhibit bacterial growth.
FieldSafe – Extra Focus on Safety
What sets the FieldSafe series apart from, for example, the classic Amigo® Bravo 12 is its extra safety features. The blanket is equipped with a Disc-Front Closure and three cross-surcingles with Safety Surcingles, along with the increased visibility provided by the Reflectech material.
The ergonomic Disc-Front Closure is designed to reduce pressure across the withers and give the horse greater freedom of movement in the neck and shoulders. Together with the cut-out leg openings at the front, this allows the horse good freedom of movement in the pasture.
The three surcingles are equipped with Safety Surcingles. The surcingles attach to the blanket via plastic safety connectors designed to release at a certain pressure should the horse become trapped. This provides an additional safety feature compared to a traditional fixed attachment. If a safety component releases, separate replacement parts/straps made of Rambo® plastic can be installed.
Reflectech – Increased Visibility
The new Reflectech design takes visibility one step further. Reflective yarn is woven into the blanket’s outer fabric, causing large sections of the blanket to reflect light when illuminated. This complements the blanket’s reflective details and makes the horse easier to spot in conditions with poor visibility.
The blanket also features a protective tail flap and a plastic-coated tail cord that can be easily wiped clean.
Adjust the warmth with the Horseware® Liner System
Allows you to add a liner to the blanket when the horse needs more warmth. This way, the same outer blanket can be adapted to the weather and temperature throughout the season.
