The Horseware® Rhino Turnout 0g is a durable, unlined turnout rug designed to provide reliable protection against rain and wind without adding extra warmth. With 0 g of filling, it functions as a shell and rain rug and can be used for much of the year, either on its own or paired with a Horseware® liner when temperatures drop.
The blanket is made from a heavy-duty 1000D polypropylene outer fabric, a material that is stronger and more durable than traditional polyester. The Rhino series’ Barrier Layer Technology is combined with Aquatrans Technology, providing waterproof and breathable protection. The design helps keep the horse dry while allowing moisture and excess heat to be wicked away from the body.
On the inside, the blanket features a 210T Shine Enhancing polyester lining with antistatic and antibacterial properties. The smooth lining reduces friction against the coat and contributes to a comfortable feel while helping to keep the coat smooth and glossy.
Horseware’s anatomical V-Front Closure reduces pressure around the withers and gives the horse greater freedom of movement. The blanket also features dual Front Leg Arches, which provide extra space for the natural movement of the front legs and help the blanket stay securely in place. Three adjustable cross-sangles keep the blanket securely in place.
The Rhino Turnout 0g is compatible with the Horseware® Liner System, allowing you to easily adjust the warmth by adding a liner. The blanket is also designed to accommodate a removable neck flap (sold separately) and is compatible with leg straps.
Reflective details increase the horse’s visibility on dark days, while the waterproof tail flap provides extra protection against rain and wind. The blanket also features a PVC-coated tail strap that’s easy to wipe down and keep clean.
