The Amigo® 1200D XL Turnout 50g from Horseware is a durable, waterproof, and breathable turnout blanket specially designed for larger and broader horses. The XL model offers a more generous fit around the neck and withers, as well as a longer body length, providing extra space and comfort for larger horses.
The blanket is made from a robust 1200D polyester outer fabric that is both waterproof and highly breathable. It provides effective protection against rain and the elements while allowing moisture and excess heat to be wicked away from the horse’s body.
Between the outer fabric and the lining is 50 grams of Thermobonded fiberfill, which provides light to medium insulation and is well-suited for cool and variable weather conditions.
The interior features a gloss-enhancing polyester lining that is both antistatic and antibacterial. The smooth lining helps reduce friction against the coat, while the antibacterial properties help inhibit bacterial growth.
XL fit for larger horses
All Horseware XL blankets are specially designed for larger, broader, and more robust horses that need more space than the standard fit provides.
The XL fit features a 20% deeper cut, providing extra room, especially around the withers. The blanket also has a 10% longer body length to provide better coverage over the entire horse. This combination results in a roomier and more proportionate fit for horses with larger builds.
The blanket is equipped with Horseware’s ergonomic V-Front Closure, which helps reduce pressure around larger shoulders and gives the horse greater freedom of movement. Dual leg gussets provide additional room for natural movement, while three cross-surcingles help keep the blanket securely and stably in place.
A waterproof tail flap provides extra coverage and protection from the elements. The blanket also features a practical tail cord that’s easy to wipe clean, as well as the option to add leg straps for additional stability.
