Horseware® Amigo Ripstop 900D Petite Turnout 200g – without a neck

The Horseware® Amigo Ripstop 9 Petite Turnout 200g is a durable, unlined rain blanket specially designed for miniature horses, mini Shetland ponies, and small ponies. Unlike a scaled-down standard blanket, the Petite series is designed according to the proportions of smaller horses, providing a more anatomical fit over the shoulders, back, and chest.

The rug is made from durable 900-denier ripstop polyester, a material that combines high durability with low weight. It provides effective protection against rain and wind without adding extra warmth, making it ideal for milder weather or for ponies that tend to overheat easily. The outer fabric is partiallybreathable, which helps keep the pony dry while wicking excess heat and moisture away from the inside.

Ripstop is a unique fabric construction that integrates thicker threads into the weave in a classic checkered pattern. This reinforces the fabric’s resistance to tears, both large and small, while maintaining a lightweight feel for the horse’s comfort. Ripstop also offers other benefits, such as chemical-free manufacturing, excellent breathability, and wind and water resistance.

The interior is lined with a shine-enhancing polyester lining that features antistatic and antibacterial properties. The smooth lining reduces friction against the coat, which helps prevent chafing while also helping to keep the coat clean, healthy, and shiny. The antistatic treatment reduces the risk of the blanket becoming statically charged against the horse when removing it.

The blanket features a straight, classic front closure, two adjustable cross-surcingles, a tail flap, and a tail strap that keep the blanket securely in place even when the pony is moving or lying down. Cut-out front leg arches (Leg Arches) that allow full freedom of movement over the shoulders and reduce strain when the pony is moving.
