Eqvital's URSALT is a natural salt, mined deep in the bedrock where it has been protected for millions of years. It was formed in prehistoric seas, long before man's environmental impact with microplastics and chemical emissions and is therefore naturally pure. The salt is tested for heavy metals with documented low levels and is a safe choice even for sensitive horses. It also has a low iron content. This unrefined rock salt is mined from an underground source where fresh water slowly passes through ancient salt layers to form a natural mineral-rich brine. During the summer, the mined salt water is allowed to slowly evaporate in the sun over several days, producing pure white salt crystals in cubic form.

Good to know
The origin and gentle production of the salt provides a natural content without additives, bleaching or chemical processing. Because the salt is not processed, you may see small darker specks of organic material, such as leaves, which are a natural sign that URSALT has not been processed or washed.
As the salt contains natural moisture, it may appear slightly damp. The salt does not contain anti-caking agents, which means that there may be salt lumps that disintegrate easily with the measure provided.
