Fiber is the most important nutrient for a horse, without fiber horses cannot survive. Therefore, it is extremely important to provide the horse with fiber, even when it has difficulty consuming the usual sources of fiber such as hay or haylage. Pavo SeniorFibre enables these horses, which cannot eat sufficient roughage (fiber), to still get the most important nutrient and stay in good condition
** Pavo SeniorFibre is not suitable for horses that have no dental function left at all. If you have any doubts about feeding SeniorFibre, please consult your vet. **
Horses with reduced dental function have difficulty chewing long fibers (>3 cm). All fibers in Pavo SeniorFibre have a maximum length of three centimeters and are therefore considered short fibers. In addition, the stems of the fibers are soft and to avoid damage to the digestive tract. Unlike many other roughage substitutes, Pavo SeniorFibre does not contain lice.
Older and weakened horses often lose muscle mass. Because Pavo SeniorFibre is not only high in protein, but also contains a specially designed amino acid pellet, it optimally supports the preservation of muscle mass and muscle function. The amino acid pellet contains several amino acids that are important for healthy muscle metabolism and can therefore slow down the process of muscle breakdown.
Pavo SeniorFibre contains neither grain nor molasses. In addition, the sugar and starch level is very low. Therefore, Pavo SeniorFibre is also suitable for horses suffering from metabolic problems, such as PPID, PSSM or laminitis, or horses that benefit from a grain-free diet.
Did you know that Pavo SeniorFibre is not only developed by veterinarians but also tested in several veterinary clinics?
