Pavo FibreNuggets Hard is a high-quality roughage, often referred to as hay pellets, which can be used to supplement or replace regular roughage, mixed with concentrates to extend eating time or given as a healthy horse treat.
100% natural hay pellets
Pavo FibreNuggets Hard is made from a specially developed grass blend, selected for its rich fiber content. Made from 100% natural grasses, including timothy, and free from grain, molasses and other (sugar) additives, the pellets have a very low sugar and starch content, making them suitable for horses and ponies that are sensitive to sugar and grain. In addition, Pavo FibreNuggets Hard are of very consistent quality and dust-free thanks to controlled drying, making them an ideal roughage supplement even for horses sensitive to dust.
No soaking needed - just scoop and feed!
One of the things that makes Pavo FibreNuggets Hard unique is that they should be given dry - no soaking needed. Therefore, no preparation time is required - just scoop and give. Thanks to a unique pressing technique, a harder and denser ball is created that encourages the horse to chew thoroughly and for a long time. Chewing is not only necessary to grind down the feed, but also stimulates saliva production, which plays a key role in neutralizing the acidic stomach acid and supporting digestion. Fun fact: Prolonged chewing helps to release endorphins, often referred to as 'happy hormones', which naturally support the horse's mental well-being.
Slurping or chewing? Does your horse have impaired dental function or has suffered from feed intake constipation? If so, choose traditional Pavo FibreNuggets. They need to be soaked in water before feeding and can therefore be eaten as a porridge by all horses.
