Production
The hops are heated to 80 degrees to achieve a hygienic quality. The heating also reduces the risk of seeds passing through the feed digestion system and reseeding. This is because there are plants that are invasive in Sweden. The risk is further reduced and disappears completely if manure is allowed to burn before being spread on grassland. Please see Agritons AB natural solution for manure management.
Recommendation
We recommend using Höpellets when the horse and its microbiota need it most, i.e. during the season with roughage and outdoors in paddocks. During grazing, the horse does not have the same need for the species richness as it is available in its natural form
