Coppervit is an organic copper supplement that is given when the copper content of the feed is insufficient. Copper is important for skin, hair and hooves, but is unfortunately often in short supply in Swedish roughage. Copper activates an enzyme that produces the sulphur bridges that hold together the keratins that make up the hoof wall. Therefore, the iron, zinc, copper and manganese ratio is very important to consider for healthy, strong hooves.
