CdG Boswellia Serrata is a plant-based dietary supplement for horses and dogs, made from the resin of the Boswellia serrata tree. Boswellia is particularly valued as a dietary supplement for active, training, and older animals, where movement and daily physical exertion place high demands on the joints and musculoskeletal system.
Boswellia serrata originates in India, and the resin from the tree has a long history of traditional use. The resin naturally contains boswellic acids, which are the bioactive components that have made Boswellia serrata an interesting plant-based raw material and the subject of research in areas such as joint function and mobility.
For horses and dogs, Boswellia can be a beneficial supplement when training volume or physical strain increases, for animals that work and move a great deal, or for older individuals whose mobility changes with age. Boswellia has been studied in various contexts, with a focus on, among other things, mobility, joint stress, and the biological mechanisms of its natural compounds.
The product is easy to mix into regular food and can be given as a course of treatment or used as part of the daily feeding routine. Boswellia is also well-suited for animals with sensitive stomachs.
Absorption and Feeding
The absorption of boswellic acids has been studied, and Boswellia is often administered alongside fat-containing feed. The product can therefore be effectively combined with, for example, oil, chia seeds, or other fat-containing ingredients as part of a balanced diet.
