Egg bites prevent the horse from being pinched in the lips/mouth by the bite rings and provide a more stable feeling against the face. It also prevents the bit from going through the mouth. The remission is slightly slower and it also puts a little pressure on the neck.
The Elliptical Lock Up is a three-piece mouthpiece with a locked, elliptically shaped center part. It is sharper than the Control Plate because the contact area with the tongue is smaller. This means that a horse that uses its tongue to push against the bit to gain control will come back and retract its nose, making it easier to control. Locking the center section prevents the nutcracker effect, which means that there is less pressure on the horse's lips. This in turn increases the pressure on the tongue slightly, making it a sharper bit than the Ported Kernel.
Bombers bits are made in South Africa and are completely handmade, which gives a unique opportunity to choose how every little detail of the bit should be designed. You can choose the type of mouthpiece you want, the type of rings / shackles, how thick the bite should be and even if you want different lengths on the right and left sides of the mouthpieces. The mouthpieces are made of sweet iron and brass and are shaped to distribute the pressure over a larger surface, rings/handles are made of stainless steel.
